MARENO launches My Tutor at HOST
We had a great time at HOST with our friends from MARENO. Since being appointed as MARENO’s exclusive UK partner back in 2017 we have been amazed at how they continue to push the boundaries when it comes to genuine equipment innovation and they have done it again with the new ‘My Tutor’ app.
MARENO’s main focus is to help operators manage their MARENO equipment in the most effective way possible and the ‘My Tutor’ app was created to put the kitchen in direct contact with the operator’s service partner. In the case of equipment failure ‘My Tutor’, which runs on a tablet, automatically notifies the service provider of the issue so that a repair can be effected as quickly as possible and any downtime minimised. But ‘My Tutor’ is much more than a service tool. It will, for example, remind kitchen staff of any maintenance tasks, and when to do them. The device comes pre-loaded with the technical specifications of each piece of equipment but, as no two kitchens are the same, it also allows for customisation to make allowance for “local” conditions. For example, something as simple as descaling can depend on the hardness of water in a certain area.
The launch of ‘My Tutor’ comes hard on the heels of other groundbreaking innovation such as MARENO’s IChef and Power Guardian, both of which were on show at HOST and attracted much interest.
