Crafting custom solutions to your cooking environment specifications, Athanor is ideal for providing a specialised design solution specific to your kitchen.  Athanor products deliver a combination of unique products and aesthetically impressive finished suites that truly reflect the rigorous demands expected by Chefs.  With specialised solutions for gas and electric kitchens, the Athanor range offers masterfully crafted suites designed to be as individual as the client commissioning it.

General Features

The Top – constructed of a primary and secondary top Athanor offers the chef the ideal workstation to create his art.   The primary top is constructed of a 3mm thick one-piece stainless steel chrome titanium alloy top.  Combining these three materials gives Athanor its longevity of life.  Set below the primary top is an optional secondary 6mm top designed to dissipate heat evenly across the entire worktop giving a uniquely flexible working environment.  With radiused edges for ease of cleaning and reducing hard edges.  The primary top is finished in a ‘planetary’ style polish to enhance the visual impact and added to this the mirror polish detail of the edge further enhances the quality of the suite.

The Frame – below the exterior panels is the stainless steel frame of the suite.  Constructed of high-grade stainless steel box tube the frame, as with the top has a lifetime guarantee.  This frame every day is exposed to some of the most arduous working environments of any industry.  Heat, water and aggressive cleaning chemicals all combine to produce an environment, which will subject materials to a stressful life.  With a philosophy of 20 years minimum life expectancy this is why such materials are used.

Exterior Panels – made of high-grade stainless steel the exterior panels are not only designed to enhance the visual impact the suite, they are also durable and hardwearing.  Designed to takes the knocks and impacts of the busiest kitchens with a wipe down at the end of service the suite can be restored to its glory as the centre piece of any kitchen.  All panels have concealed fixings to help with clean down and aesthetics.  Exterior panels can also be finished with colour enamelled finishes.

Mirror Polished Trim – made of high-grade stainless steel the decorative trims are polished to a mirror finish.  This ensures that over the life time of the suite the finish does not diminish and base metals are revealed which can happen when a ‘chrome’ or ‘brass’ finish is used.

Recessed Controls – set back within the fascia of the suite are the controls.  Being recessed this reduces the possible damage of controls being knocked during busy periods.  Each control is set within a polished panel and has a polished aluminium control mounted on front of colour enamelled back plate.  All electrical units have neon indicator light.

Design Considerations

Efficiency is the key to success – each element and component material used in your Athanor suite has been specifically identified for its properties and performance.  Only the highest grade stainless steels are used to give longevity of life to the main structure, with steel and cast iron heat sources to give efficiency or performance.  In today’s business environment efficiency is the key to survival and this is an important factor when considering the design aspect of the suite.  With a philosophy of ‘less is more’ Athanor is at the forefront of thinking and proposing items that can be considered multi-use.  Ideally designed for optimum performance - in today’s business environment efficiency is the key to survival and this is an important factor when considering the design aspect of your suite.

Lifetime costs

A long working relationship – when considering your Athanor suite you need to consider the lifetime costs.  With a suite lasting for upwards of 15-20 years on going service, maintenance and breakdown costs need to be factored.  Grande Cuisine will guide you through the process of understanding the potential costs involved.  We will also advise on equipment functionality so that the best solution can be provided.  With a move towards more all electric suites we can demonstrate the on going power savings and potential maintenance costs reductions by moving away from a traditional style gas range.
